Suhaila graduated from La Trobe University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. She has been working as an occupational therapist for 12 years ranging from an acute hospital setting in Singapore, to private rehabilitation hospitals and community health settings in Melbourne.
For the last seven years, Suhaila has worked in community settings where she provides assessments and interventions in clients' own environment. She has vast experience in facilitating independence in daily living skills, falls prevention, home modification and equipment prescription with adult clients with various disabilities. She works collaboratively with clients, their families, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes.
In addition to working with clients under Home Care Packages, Suhaila has provided five years of occupational therapy support to participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and has achieved many positive outcomes. In 2019, Daily Living Occupational Therapy was founded by Suhaila to provide the community accessible and quality occupational therapy supports.
Outside of work, Suhaila enjoys going for walks, op-shopping, and spending time with her family. She is also learning to play chess.
